 Rice, a monocot, is usually grown in the form of an annual plant, although in tropical areas it can survive as a perennial crop and can produce ration crop for 30 years.  Rice cultivation is well suited for low labor costs and high rainfall countries and regions, because it is laborious to cultivate and requires ammonium water.

  Rice consumption is likely to be safe.  However, eating a high amount of white rice on a daily basis can cause high risk for type 2 diabetes and obesity development.  Therefore, a balanced diet should be maintained.

  Farming of rice

  Rice is an ancient food and it is believed that its cultivation was done in China about 6,000 years ago, but in recent archaeological discoveries, primitive rice seeds and ancient agricultural equipments have been found, which are about 9,000 years old.

  For the majority of its long history, rice was only a staple in Asia.  As long as the Arab travelers did not offer rice in ancient Greece, and Alexander the Great brought it to India, rice discovered its way in other corners of the world. 

After this, during his victory in the 8th century, Moores brought rice in Spain, while the Crusaders were responsible for bringing rice in France.  During the colonization of this continent, rice was introduced in South America by Spanish in the 17th century.

  Most of the world’s rice is grown in Asia, where it plays an incredibly important role in their food culture.  Thailand, Vietnam and China are the three largest exporters of rice.

  Do you know that 100 grams of white rice is equal to 86 grams of sugar?  White rice is made mainly of simple carbs, which is a bad type of carbohydrate.  Although white rice immediately provides energy, it enhances blood sugar levels in the body.  This caused the Chinese crash, which causes overtakes.  Ordinary carbs are also associated with obesity.

  It is over-processed

  Time and again, health experts warned the public about the dangers of processed foods.  There is no beneficial nutrient in white rice because its husk, bran and germ were removed.  Essentially, grains are made from sugar.  Unlike brown or black rice, white rice is rich in empty calories.  And eating rice can lead to chronic diseases, including diabetes and obesity.

  There may be digestive problems

  Because white rice starch is also sticky, so it is difficult to digest.  This causes digestive disorder, fatigue and dyspepsia.  This diet is also less in fiber.  Fiber is an essential nutrient that helps in digestion and prevents heart disease.  It also regulates digestive system.  White rice lacks the necessary nutrients at one point where it inhibits the body’s processes.
